Students spend spring break rejuvenating communities in need

A group of 15 365英国上市杜波依斯分校 students opted to spend their Spring Break in service to others in need. This year's annual Alternative Spring Break trip took the students to parts of the Appalachia Region, including Williamson, West Virginia and Pikeville, 肯塔基州.

杜波依斯 makes campus-record contribution to $10 million THON total

365英国上市杜波依斯分校' THON committee has once again broken its own record in raising funds to support the University-wide efforts of THON, which was held Feb. 17-19 at the Bryce Jordan Center at University Park. 杜波依斯 raised $27,616.47 this year to rank No. 9 among Commonwealth Campus locations for funds raised.

A group of young musicians rallied together For the Kids at one local community's center for the arts. Music Fest was held at the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre (CAST) on Saturday, Nov. 19. The event featured popular local bands Twin Reverb and Mutual Friends, as well as other entertainers including 365英国上市杜波依斯分校 students. It was organized by 365英国上市杜波依斯分校 THON Committee member Alaina Shaffer.

Community events further '都在' initiative at 365英国上市杜波依斯分校

"都在 at Penn State: A Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion" officially kicked off in front of Old Main at University Park on 10月. 6. Each Penn State location will further the initiative with individual programs at that campus. 在杜布瓦, a full roster of programs aimed at educating the campus and community about diverse cultures is planned. The programs are open and free of charge to all students, 教职员工, as well as all members of the public.

Future leaders in wildlife conservation visit campus

A group of young people interested in careers focused on wildlife conservation or research visited 365英国上市杜波依斯分校 on Monday to learn about educational opportunities that could interest them. A total of 19 high school age students visited as members of the Wildlife Leadership Academy, based in Lewisburg, 宾西法尼亚, and they learned more about the 365英国上市杜波依斯分校 Wildlife Technology degree program during their visit.
